Winter in the Southern Hemisphere

Autumn or Fall as some of you might call it, is slowly drifting by in the South. Which means my favourite season is on its way... WINTER!!! I hope I'm not the only one who is so amped about winter, it's as beautiful as any other season. What I love most about winter is the layers of clothing that you get to put on; the different materials that you can mix match, whist this year is all about mix matching those materials of clothing and pairing them with stockings (tights), leggings and any shoe you desire might be any pair of boots, brogues, flats(pumps), heels and so forth. And definitely not forgetting lots of scarfs, hats, gloves(leather) and general key daily essential accessories.

1. The FUR-ntastic look: 

I am not a vegetarian and no offence to anyone who is a vegetarian or a PETA supporter, but I love fur. Whether its real or faux fur it still looks elegant and stylish to me. I mean we all have our own views on anything and everything. Fur has become a very controversial topic nowadays. If you are saving up to buy the real fur or just any sexy faux fur jacket like me,  you can pair it with any dress, skirts, bottoms, shirts, or even the simpliest tank tops and t-shirts. People like THE Anna Wintour and Kim Kardashian, are one of the top stylish people who rock the Fur-ntastic look as I call it. Just remember to make the look more YOU even if its copied from style icons and bloggers.

2. Leather Me Up

Just like fur, leather is also under a bit of some controversy, about where its taken from and all that jazz. I am into the leather look especially if its a nicely tailored leather look. It maybe a sexy skirt, shorts, accessories or leggings and of course the timeless biker jacket. My grandmother was a leather seamstress and all her leather garments that she created were nicely tailored and they are timeless. My mother still has the leather jacket and green leather hat that she made for her. Sadly she passed away early 2011 in January, she is dearly missed even today and forever... Now make the tailored leather look work for you by mix matching it with different materials and edgy accessories e.g cuffs. Or if you are into the girly look go for leather meets a sheer shirt or a pussy-bow blouse and some tights, leggings etc. Just remember to make the look more YOU even if its copied from style icons and bloggers.
